Mrs and Mrs

The lesbian wedding was great on Saturday. I particularly enjoyed the roast pig and even more so, the pained expression of the two chefs who had to stand outside on a freezing night cooking the thing in a muddy stable.

Many drinks were had with the meal, after which I encountered an unforeseen problem with same sex weddings, at least from the point of view of a Scottish lesbian wedding. There was a ceilidh after the meal and in true fashion myself and my wife step up to dance. The first dance however is the gay gordons which consists of a circle of couples with the man on one side and the woman on the other.

Now I can never remember which side to stand on and always look to other couples for guidance. And there lies the problem, as every couple on the floor at this point consisted of two women. Well, apart from another male and female couple but the bloke was looking at me for guidance and shuffling his feet.

We’re off to Luxembourg on Thursday to visit our friends Duncan and Sonja who have just had a new baby. Really looking forward to seeing them as it’s been far too long. As a result of going away for the 5 days, I am only in work today and tomorrow before being off for a week and a half. Which is nice.

That’s half past nine, so I’m off for a cuppa.

Sounds like you had fun! Not sure about the “Gay Gordon” thing though. I think I would have sat that one out!
