The one where I talk about cuisine

One of my favourite things about being Scottish is the prepostorous nature of some of our food. I have just eaten a chicken curry pie, complete with rice, sauce, meat, the works. Only a Scotsman could think of taking a full chicken curry and sticking it in a pie casing. If it won’t fit in a pie then it’s not worth eating seems to be the attitude. I approve.

It’s going to be a long day today as the house needs to be gutted in advance of my wifes auntie’s visit tomorrow. She’s staying for 5 days so a ‘cosmetic’ job won’t do. I’m also visiting my Granny for the first time today since taking her into hospital a week ago. My parents have visited her but this is my first visit. By all accounts she is settling in well and as such I can feel the guilt receding a bit.

Thank God for wednesdays off…..
