Sleepless in Leith

Sunday night in bed always seems to be when my demons choose to visit me. I know I need to go to sleep as I am up early in the morning but my brain races and all my worst fears play round in my mind like a video recorder on acid. The same phrase or though seems to scroll by on the big screen of my consciousness and I find myself still awake, sweating at 3am.

Believe me, I have a lot of fears just now. The future of my grandparents is playing heavy, with their gradual decline top of my list of worries. A lack of christmas presents purchased is also worrying me. I’ve been very busy with one thing and another and I have only two available shopping days left to sort out the last of my presents. I went shopping yesterday and managed to buy a present for my sister and her boyfriend however I then went on to spoil it by buying the ‘Boys from the Black Stuff’ DVD and promptly rushing home to watch it. Good series though.

70% of male Christmas shoppers leave their shopping until the last minute! Treat it like a rugby match. Your in the threequarters while your looking, rucking and scrummaging when your actually purchasing, it’s a try when you find what you want. End of game when your back in the car!
