The one where I talk about gay adoption

There seems to be a huge furore about gay adoption at the minute with the Catholic Church (and Anglican church) for that matter going on a bit of a crusade to apparently prevent the moral destruction of Britains orphans and unwanted.

I just wondered what all the fuss is about. I mean, I can see how there could be complications for the child in explaining why he or she has two dads or two mums and the possible risks of bullying that this brings however surely the placement of a child in a loving home is more important. In a loving home, a child can overcome most things. I’m not underestimating the effect of bullying. I’m just saying that it shouldn’t be used as an excuse for preventing same sex couples from adopting.

All a child wants is someone to love them and care for them. If that’s two blokes or two women, to be quite frank I couldn’t give a toss.

Furthermore, the Catholic Church is in no position to criticise anyone with regards to childrens welfare.

Makes you wonder who’d be a gay catholic right now!
