We are a nation of wishful thinkers. I was in the supermarket yesterday morning and I couldn’t believ the number of people buying lottery tickets at 7.30am. All looking to escape the drudgery no doubt. The daily grind.
I’ve often wondered what I’d do if I won the lottery. Sitting around in my underpants scratching myself and watching Richard and Judy would probably only mildly entertain me for 6 months tops. Add a couple of years of yachts and partying and you are still nowhere near filling a lifetime. Maybe I’d start wrecking old bangers like lotto lout Michael Carroll. Who knows. It’s a pipe dream anyway.
