More of an update

So here I am once more. It’s been a while since I wrote anything of any significance due to being very busy with one thing and another. I’ve changed jobs, been on holiday and basically lolled about doing very little.
It’s great to finally have started te new job. It’s good to work for a company where my Accessibility skills are utilised which wasn’t the case with my previous role. Lip service was paid to accessibility. It was only implemented when it didn’t mess up the happy slappy wee corporate world of design agencies and free lunches in London. I’m really enjoying the job. Furthermore, I am like a kid in a sweet shop about being back in the city centre. I don’t know what to do with myself at lunchtimes. I’m so used to working in industrial estates (I have worked in various business parks for the last 15 years or so) that when presented with a city full of options my head is burst with what shop to go into, where to get lunch and so on.
There seems to be some health benefits as well. Walking to work has me feeling better physically and that 2 miles in and 2 miles back will have some benefits as the weeks turn into months I’m sure. Best of all though, it really lifts your spirits of a morning to walk to work through the streets of this beautiful old city.
The new Marillion album ‘Somewhere Else’ dropped through my letterbox yesterday. And very nice it is too. A most enjoyable album. I’m looking forward to the gig in May. After that I’ve got a 3 day jolly with the lads to London’s Wembley Stadium to see the mighty Metallica. All told it’s going to be a good summer for gigging.
Anyway, I’d best get going. I’ll be updating Flickr with our holiday photos later in the weekend. Have a good Easter.
