Everyone tells you about the sleepless nights. No one tells you about how babies can be total loonies in between 5 and 11pm at night. Actually trying to get him to do anything other than scream the house down while you are trying to eat your tea.
So, a new tactic has been adopted. Wrap the wee bugger up warm, bung him in the car seat and drive man, drive. The hum of the engine seems to knock him out and by driving him around it gets him out of the house and lets my wife get some sleep. Bonkers solution but hey, if it works for David Beckham then it’s bound to work for me. If we can get to the weekend without him driving us insane then I’ll be able to take him out for long walks to settle him while my wife catches up properly on her sleep.
